Eric Adams joined MehaffyWeber in 2001 and became a shareholder in 2007. In recent years, he has focused on intellectual property matters while still active in commercial litigation. Eric is registered with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. His clients range from national companies to individuals and he has handled cases in both state and federal courts in Texas and across the country.

Areas of Concentration

Complex commercial litigation, including securities matters, patent and licensing disputes, and general business litigation on both sides of the docket.

Education

Eric graduated with honors from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Political Science in 1997 and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence with honors from South Texas College of Law in 2001.

Eric is currently active in the Greater Houston Partnership.

Eric was a member of South Texas Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Intellectual Property Law Association and Licensing Executives Society, Houston Bar Association, Houston Intellectual Property Law Association, Michelle F. Mehaffy Inn of Court.

He was named a "Rising Star" in Texas Monthly magazine, 2006 to 2009. Eric was also selected by HTexas magazine as a "Houston's Top Lawyer" in 2008 and 2009.
