Kathleen Kennedy joined MehaffyWeber in 2007 as “Of Counsel.” She has practiced in a wide range of general civil litigation, but primarily has defended products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, Civil Rights violation (1983 claims) in a correctional setting and personal injury.

Kathleen is a prior prosecuting attorney. She has tried more than 30 cases to verdict in Brazoria, Gregg, Hardin, Harris, Jasper, Jefferson, and Orange Counties. She defends matters in both state and federal court.

Education

Kathleen received her undergraduate degree from Lamar University in Beaumont with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law in December, 1996.

Kathleen is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the Jeffferson County Bar, the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association and the Michelle F. Mehaffy Inn of Court.
